| Summary: | People’s need of healthcare facilities is an obligation for the ruling government to fulfill. Therefore, Jakarta Barat’s Government through its Public Health Office plan to build a class B general hospital in Cengkareng district. This hospital is planned to serve the people within Jakarta Barat region and DKI Jakarta province. The low income citizen become this hospital main target for health services. As part of the effort to meet the patients needs, this hospital provide up to 200 beds for inward patients. Other medical services provided in this hospital are, surgical services; obstetrics and gynecology; intensive care services; outpatient services, imaging services; and other services. Located in Bumi Cengkareng Indah Street, this hospital is required not to exceed the maximum height of 8 stories building. This requirement, regulated by Dinas Tata Ruang Kota Jakarta, is applied to the hospital’s site and it’s surrounding area. This hospital’s location is surrounded by residential area on the east and shop house block on the west. In an attempt to alleviate this hospital’s quality, extra attention is given to several aspects in its architecture. Special attention is given to site’s circulation and indoor’s layout. This hospital design also tries to insert as much as possible natural lighting and ventilation. |
