Located on Jalan Sersan Bajuri no. 15-25, contemporary art museum with an area of 13000 sqm and a total building area of 11340 sqm is initiated by a private art organization. The main issues of design are building image, flexibility, and environmental impact. With KDB 40% and KDH 52%, site located in the North Bandung Region require a design approach that focuses on nature conservation, therefore museum park concept is chosen, where outdoor exhibitions take advantage of existing landscapes. This concept focuses on the art museums that integrate with nature in the form of sculpture park. In addition, the location of the site has special conditions where the southern boundary is directly adjacent to the North Bandung National Electric Power Station, so it requires solution so that the museum does not have a focus out of the site, especially in the southern boundary. The museum is owned by the private sector resulting in variety in museum activities, there are also commercial and private activities. The building consists of 5 floors and accommodates space for the main activities in the form of exhibition space, supporting activities in the form of educational spaces, complementary activities in the form of restaurants, museum management activities, and service activities. text |
