Description
Summary:The events of the mud eruption in Sidoarjo happened since 2006. On the other hand, the general public has a great interest in visiting and watching the event. Because of that, a place is needed to accommodate this. The place is a tourist area in the Sidoarjo Mud Volcano region. This project was initiated by the Sidoarjo Government together with the Sidoarjo Mud Control Center (PPLS) as a potential user. The main targets of users of this region are tourists, researchers and PPLS employees, managers of recreational areas, as well as commercial tenants who are victims of the mud disaster. The location of this project has a unique character because it is suitable for mud dikes. The project area is also right side by side with the Sidoarjo Geopark Mud Biodiversity area designed in regional design. The problems that arise are the main issues that arise. From these issues the basic concept of planning was born, "Jejeg sareng Lumpur", which means standing with mud. This concept contains two meanings, the first is that this area forms the masks of the community and the location of the mud disaster. The second is utilizing mud as the main material in the design. This area is expected to be a pioneer that supports activities in the affected locations and as a place of learning for the community.
