| Summary: | Bandung is the capital of West Java, which is one of the largest cities in Indonesia, where goods and people come and go everyday. The types of transportation used by visitors in Bandung vary, consisting of pedicabs, delmans, private cars, motorbikes, angkot, public buses, trucks, trains, and planes. Daily, Bandung is always visited by people from outside the city and provide who uses mainly buses. The movement of people and goods in this big city always occurs both day and night. Therefore, land transportation services are very important to support that movement process.
The bus terminal in Bandung City which is the subject of this final project is Cicaheum terminal. The terminal will be redesigned through approaches related to issues such as issue of circulation, security, sustainability, climate, and air pollution. The building concept will use the concept of traditional West Java house architecture to give the impression of the city of Bandung to immigrants. The redevelopment of the Cicaheum terminal is expected to be a solution to traffic problems in the area of Cicaheum, and especially providing a comfortable to users of public transportation services. |
