Summary: | This project will explain the design, implementation, and testing of protection subsystems and communication subsystems on electric vehicle supply equipment for office parking areas. Electric vehicle supply equipment implementation must refer to the international standard, IEC 61851-1. One of the standards that must be complied is the protection. Some products did not comply with protection standard because electrical installations have covered the protection standard. However, in Indonesia the standard of electrical installation does not comply these standards so that a protection subsystem is needed to comply with the IEC 61851-1 standard, which is protection against ground fault, surge, and overcurrent. In addition, charging an electric car battery takes hours requires the user to leave the car in an office parking area. Therefore, a communication subsystem is needed that allows monitoring of charging conditions remotely. The test results show that the protection subsystem is running well with the average time of detection of ground faults until the relay opened is 29.5 milliseconds. The communication subsystem was also successfully implemented with the success of the control unit sending and receiving data from the database. |
