The tunnel construction caused the formation of two sloping land without vegetation on the hill above the tunnel with a slope of 32°-33 ° at the inlet that is from the direction of Cileunyi and the outlet that is from the direction of Dawuan. Sloping land will cause high flow of soil run off and will reduce even the availability of top soil and soil organic. This study aims to determine the status of nutrient availability and soil quality index on both sloping lands as an initial consideration in conducting land revegetation. Soil sampling was carried out at 0-30 cm depth in both sloping lands using systematic sampling with zig-zag methods. Soil nutrient availability is determined by the number of N, P. K, Ca, Mg, S, Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn, B, and Cl which are fixed at the Center of Soil Research Standard (1995), while the soil quality index is determined by indicators with the most describing of soil function are pH, C-organic, N-total, K-available, texture, bulk density, and soil porosity which are guided by the standards of Mausbach and Seybold (1998) and Partoyo (2005). The result of the study showed that the amount of nutrient availability in sloping land inlet included: N (0.225 ppm), P (0.457 ppm), K ( 0.390 ppm), Ca (30.680 ppm), Mg (2.058 ppm), S ( 4.407 ppm), Fe (20.902 ppm), Mn (10.102 ppm), B (0.167 ppm), Cu (15.360 ppm), Zn (16.105 ppm), and Cl (22,142 ppm), while on sloping land outlet consisted of: N (0.322 ppm), P (0.785 ppm), K (0.614 ppm), Ca (44.75 ppm), Mg (2.210 ppm), S (5.647 ppm), Fe (21.625 ppm), Mn (11.395 ppm), B (0.185 ppm), Cu (15.492 ppm), Zn (18.367 ppm), and Cl (22.175 ppm). Nutrient availability on sloping inlet and outlet is classified as very low to low and not sufficient for the growth and development of vegetation. The soil quality index on sloping land inlet and outlet is classified as moderate with values of 0.473 and 0.504. With the availability of nutrients that are classified as very low to low and the quality of land classified as moderate indicates that effective and efficient land management is very important to do on sloping inlet and outlet. text
