| Summary: | Bandung Contemporary Art Center is a topic taken in the preparation of the Final Project with an Art Center typology that focuses on Performing Arts. City of Bandung as a City of Arts and Culture according to the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (2012) and as a Creative City according to UNICEF, 2015 has a number of communities engaged in the arts and culture. The project aims to create a space that integrates the space between arts, especially performing arts, and collaboration space that increases the local wisdom of the figure Drupadi, a figure in puppetry. The project location is located at Jalan Buah Batu No. 28, Cijagra, Lengkong, Bandung with an area of 11,400m2. This project was initiated by the Tejo Laras Madya Foundation, a foundation in Bandung that is engaged in the arts and culture, especially in the performing arts. The function of the building is an art and cultural center. The initiator has the goal of creating an ecosystem of arts, especially performing arts. In the background of the need for art development with artists and the community, it is hoped that this project can become a collaborative space between elements. |
