| Summary: | The typology of this project is a mosque, with the level of the Great Mosque. The site is located
at Jl. Raya Patengan, Patengan Village, Rancabali District, Bandung Regency. The capacity of this
mosque is 450 pilgrims with the scale of service is one district, including passing tourists. This
mosque will later accommodate community needs for religious facilities, social activities and other
activities. With its status which is also a tourist attraction and a rest area which provides facilities
such as food stalls and souvenir kiosks that are rented for local communities, this mosque is expected
to improve the economy of the community.
The making of basic concept starts with referring to the mission thar needed to be achieved from
the design of this mosque, then elaborates the issues that have been synthesized along with the subissues,
for which ideas will then be used as the basis for development in the design process. The basic
concept of this mosque is Connecting People with Nature. The design of this mosque will be made by
bringing a strong natural context, presenting natural elements in the site that are integrated with the
designed buildings, and creating interactions between users of the building and nature. |
