TECHNICAL EVALUATION OF BENKOKO DAM IN TIMOR TEGAH UTARA REGENCY, NUSA TENGGARA TIMUR

To reduce the problem of water in Nusa Tenggara Timur, there is a statue changing of 12 embung buildings became a dam. One of them is Benkoko Dam in Timor Tengah Utara regency. The statue changing was based on whether or not the Benkoko Dam agains the classification of dam’s parameter. Furthermore, evaluation of the technical measurement or evaluation of existing condition of the dam is necessary. For evaluation of technical measurement, it’s about the storage if the dam that based on the water availability and the Benkoko Dam’s service needs, about the Spillway’s capacity that based on the planned flood discharge, about the design of the builings that consists of main dam and Spillway, and about the geotechnical evaluation of Spillway. The evaluation of existing condition of the dam is about the instruments completeness, and the existing condition of main dam and Spillway. This evaluation is need to be done so the Benkoko Dam can be operated optimally.
