PT Bank Sunshine Indonesia is one of bank book 3 in Indonesia which offers SME business banking financial solution. It offers working capital loan, business property loan, and other business financial services. One of its initiatives to improve the business is SME Business Center. SME Business Center aims to give advisory to SME Business on business knowledge and international trading advisory. However, it did not go well and had been idle in the sec-ond years of its establishment.
The intent of this research is to understand what bank can do through SME Business Center to help its SME Business customers and improve their business.
The method is to do qualitative research by interviewing staff of Business Banking depart-ment in PT Bank Sunshine Indonesia to build the primary data. By interviewing bank’s staff, the research wants to understand what current issues related to Business Banking and SME Business Center. The research also conducted a telephone survey of 100 existing customers of business banking to have broader views and customers insight. These telephone surveys allow the research to get customers aspiration, which is one of the crucial elements to design the SME Center, business model. To do the qualitative data analysis (QDA) is to transcribe the interview record, to code the data themes, to generalize from the theme about the phe-nomena in questions and to interpret in the light of literature.
The result is suggesting different approach to share business knowledge to SME Center. The approach should be easier to cross pollinate, faster and more effective compared with earlier approach. It is considering of the regions of the Business Banking across the country, busi-nessperson limited time, and business conversion expectation. |
