Description
Summary:Instantaneous inrush current can occur when an electronic device is turned on. The amount of current produced can be very high and occur in a short span of time. If the electronic devices light up simultaneously, then there will be an accumulation of instantaneous surge that can cause the MCB trip. Smart Power Socket (SPOS) is designed to overcome the problem of an instantaneous surge by connecting electronic devices with SPOS. When a home has experienced a power outage, SPOS will delay there connected electronic device and the electronic device will turn on sequentially, thus overcoming the accumulation of current from the inrush current tool electronic. To make it easier for users to operate SPOS and integrate SPOS with smart home, SPOS was developed to support connection with Wi-Fi and the internet. Development is done on hardware and software. Software development consists of a real-time database and Android application. The test results show that the application and real-time database can run properly and run the data stream in sending and reading user profile data, SPOS status, and electronic devices.
