Summary: | Garbage is a waste of unwanted or discarded material because it is no longer used.
PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) as the manager of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport has social responsibility in managing was generated in Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. This research was conducted to analyze the waste management conducted by PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. The existing handling of existing waste is carried out by transport directly to the final disposal or landfill in Karawang. This method results in uncertain costs and tends to rise in line with the growth of passengers annually.
This research uses the Six Sigma DMAIC methodology for existing products or processes. Data analysis and interviews are conducted to find out the company’s business issues and proposed solutions. Further analysis of business problems is done with a useful Swimlane diagram to break down every waste management process at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
This research proposed alternative solution that is (1) change the process of direct disposal of existing waste by processing it in advance with the 3R method (Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle) to waste that has an economical value. (2) make a temporary disposal of waste or temporary landfill to process the waste, (3) has adequate waste processing equipment.
