Summary: | ITB- Cirebon Campus will be built in the Arjawinangun Local Activity Center, Cirebon Regency with land area of 30 hectare as one of the Multi-Campus programs. The basis of the development of the Bandung Institute of Technology - Cirebon Campus is as a Sustainable Campus by integrating environmental, community and economic aspect. One concept that will be applied is the Green Campus Concept, one of which is by planning domestic wastewater treatment at the ITB- Cirebon Campus. The design of sewerage and domestic wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) at ITB – Cirebon Campus is based on the development stage of the ITB – Cirebon Campus is planned to serve the campus area in the southern part of the Winong River. The design of sewerage and domestic wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) at ITB – Cirebon Campus will be divided into 2 stages of development. Sewerage system that will be applied is a small bore sewer because the area has a flat contour so that it is difficult to achieve self-cleansing flow. Domestic wastewater from each building Wastewater from each building is flowed by gravitational force to the domestic WWTP. The domestic WWTP for the first stage (2019-2023) has teratment capacity of 164,416 m3 / day and for the second stage (2023-2036) has teratment capacity of 263,37 m3 / day. This treatment capacity is the result of the calculation of the estimated wastewater generation from each building in each stage of development. Main parameters to be treated are BOD and TSS with removal efficiency 87% and 86%. The proposed processing units especially in biological treatment are CMAS, RBC, and MBBR. The selection is done by comparing the BOD removal efficiency, land requirements, operational and maintenance simplicity, energy requirements, human resources requirements, sludge generation, environmental impact, construction costs, and operational and maintenance costs of each unit. Based on the results of the scoring and weighting, the selected biological processing unit is MBBR. The configuration of the selected processing unit consists of a collection tank, primary sedimentation, MBBR, secondary clarifier, disinfection tank, gravity thickener, and sludge drying bed. Budget estimate plan for the construction of the ITB-Cirebon Campus domestic WWTPs is Rp5.555.612.397 and for operational cost is Rp.495.334.547 per year. Additional recommendations for realizing a sustainable are through integrated waste-disposal management program between garden waste and sludge cake which will be treated by composting and do greywater recycling.
