Summary: | Indonesia is currently in a state of rice dependence. Indonesia's rice consumption reached 96.32 kg / capita / year in 2014 while the standard set by FAO was only 60-65 kg / capita / year. This state will lead Indonesia to a food crisis. Therefore we need to manage food diversity. Along with the increasing public awareness of healthy food needs, the demand for food products with high nutritional value has increased. Purple sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L.) is one of the commodities that has the potential because its nutritional content have many advantages than rice with potential productivity of 20 tons / ha. However, purple sweet potato production in Indonesia is still very low at around 1.5-5 tons / ha. This study aims to determine the yield of purple sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L.) local cultivar of Majalengka in response to the combination of organic fertilizer and the time of application. The treatments used were fertilizer (goat cage, leaf compost, bokashi and vermicompost) and fertilizer application time (at the same time, 15 days before and 30 days before planting). Highest tuber per plant and tuber per plot mean showed by goat manure (1,52 tuber ; 48,53 tuber) and application at the same time (1,45 umbi ; 46,61 umbi). Highest tuber weight per plant, tuber weight per plot and tuber productivity mean showed by bokashi (372,4 gram ; 11,9 kg ; 18,62 tons/hectare) and application 30 days before planting (403,73 gram ; 12,9 kg ; 20,1 tons/hectare). |
