The settlement was built without the construction of sanitation facilities, one of which is located in RT 04-06, RW 1 in Cisaranten Village, Bina Harapan. The government made this location the recipient of the IDB Community-Based Sanitation Program. The success of this program is demonstrated by the sustainability of the system built. Sustainable sanitation is influenced by several aspects including socio-cultural, environmental and natural resources, technology and operations, financial and institutional. Taking into account the aspects of sustainability, sanitation issues become a priority is the provision of wastewater management systems. Based on population density, latrine ownership, land availability, the most appropriate wastewater management system implemented is the Communal Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) accompanied by a pipeline network. System planning consists of engineering plans, financing plans and institutions. The engineering plan is carried out with a planning period of 20 years and 100% service coverage so as to obtain wastewater production of 75.37 m3 / day. The piping network system used is shallow bore sewer with 154 connection services. WWTP is chosen based on 3 alternatives of aerobic and anaerobic treatment. By weighting the criteria using a matrix and ranking system, the alternative is chosen using a combination of aerobic and anaerobic biofilter. Sludge removal is carried out by routine suctioning which is brought to the Gemuruh Sludge Treatment Plant. The construction of WWTPs and pipelines are carried out in a self-managed manner through the Non-Governmental Organizations (CBOs) as planners and implementers of the construction of facilities and the Maintenance and Utilization Group as the manager of operations and maintenance of advice developed. The total construction cost is Rp.434,523,700.00, and minor and major operational and maintenance costs are Rp.18,250,000.00 / year. Funding sources come from IDB loan funds, regional budget and community retribution. text
