Design of Concrete and Manufacture Migration Cell Block for Testing Chloride Permeability in Cracked Concrete Using Rapid Chloride Permeability Test

Reinforced concrete reinforcement in a corrosive environment will accelerate damage to the structure. The rate of corrosion in cracked concrete will increase along with the magnitude of the crack in concrete because the Cl- will more easily enter the concrete pores. In this study an experiment wa...

The rate of corrosion in cracked concrete will increase along with the magnitude of the crack in concrete because the Cl- will more easily enter the concrete pores. In this study an experiment was carried out to classify concrete according to the permeabiliy of the Cl- with or without a mixture of fly ash that had undergone cracks. The method used in this study is the rapid chloride permebeality test (RCPT). In this final project an experiment is made in the form of concrete test samples with a diameter of 10 cm and a length of 20 cm with quality K-250, K-400, and K- 400 + fly ash. Then cut the test sample into a concrete plate with a thickness of 5 cm, then do the cracking on the test sample with a certain crack width. The making of tools for testing with the RCPT method is adjusted to the existing standard ASTM C-1202. The test is carried out for six hours by flowing a 60V direct current to a concrete dish and current data collection is carried out every 30 minutes. Concrete grouping according to Cl- permeability based on electric charge. Then the electric charge is calculated to determine the concrete classification being tested. text
