This research compared total phenolic content between root and leaf of ex vitro plant and adventitious root, hairy root, leaf, and callus of in vitro plant. Furthermore, correlation between total phenolic compound and antioxidant activity in each sample was analysed after defining the IC50 through DPPH method (2,2-diphenyl-1- picrylhydrazyl). The result showed that in vitro leaf plant (81 ± 2,3 mg GAE/mg BK) has higher total phenolic content than 2 months old ex vitro root plant (78,5 ± 1,2 mg GAE/mg BK). Total phenolic content both in ex vitro and in vitro root plant was found to be positively correlated with IC50 where antioxidant activity of each sample were classified to be very strong (42,7 ± 2,7 mg/L) and strong (56,4 ± 2,7 mg/L). Therefore, the results sugest that antioxidant production can be harvested either from 2 months old ex vitro root plant or in vitro leaf plant. text
