Description
Summary:TPS Cicadas Market is located in urban village of Babakan Surabaya, Kiaracondong District, Bandung City. Land area of TPS is 520 m2. This TPS serves household and non-household solid waste (market solid waste, malls, offices, schools, and street sweep). The service area includes of 25 RW which are joined in 4 urban village and 3 district. Solid waste produced entering TPS Cicadas Market based on solid waste sampling using the Loud Count Analysis method was obtained 51.31 m3/day consisting of 45.5 m3/day of household solid waste and 5.81 m3/day of non-household solid waste. Solid waste produced at the source is 3.13 l/p/d or equivalent to 0.36 kg/p/d. The biggest composition of solid waste is organic solid waste with a percentage of 44%. The operational system of TPS includes storage at source, collection, transfer and transportation. Evaluation of the existing operational system conditions, among others (1) the principle of reduce, reuse, and recycle at the source has not been done (2) the solid waste collection schedule has not been done (3) the process of moving the solid waste is manually by throwing the solid waste from the collection vehicle into the container (4) the malfunctioning of the organic solid waste treatment reactor (5) the reduction of solid waste in the TPS still small, only limited to the sorting of inorganic solid waste that is worth selling (plastic bottles, glass / glass, metal), (6) the disorganization of the sorting process solid waste. From the above problems, it is necessary to plan the solid waste processing system at TPS Cicadas Market, especially to overcome organic solidwaste in order to reduce the amount of solid waste produced to landfill. The capacity planning scenario design of organic solid waste treatment planning at the 3R TPS was conducted over the next 10 years, and an integrated scenario was chosen. The planned organic solid waste treatment uses anaerobic processes with redesign of biodigesters and aerobic processes with windrow composting. Solid waste input material that is processed using biodigester is wet organic solid waste (leftovers, vegetables, fruits). Whereas windrow composting uses the input of dry organic solid waste (leaves) mixed with wet organic solid waste in a ratio of 1:2.
