PLTU Indramayu has an area of + 83 Ha with a capacity of 3 x 330 MW Generator. The PLTU Indramayu uses low rank coal-type coal as its main fuel. Coal that is composed of several elements such as sulfur, oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, and carbon if burned will produce chemical compounds such as SO2 ¬, NOx, and PM. Based on estimated concentration in exhaust gas with exhaust gas discharge on the ESP PLTU Indramayu is 1,050,822.6 Nm3 HR/hour. Using a stoichiometric approach of the combustion process of coal-containing sulfur, the SO2 concentration contained in the exhaust gas is 5,609.86 mg/nm3 hr. The concentration of SO2 that is estimated to be well above the quality of the Applicable in the regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry number 15 year 2019 on the quality of the emissions of the source of no move with the maximum SO2 concentration required is 550 mg/Nm3 hr.
