Summary: | In this globalization era, informations are delivered rapidly from one place to another in all over the world. One of the channels to deliver those various informations is using interconnected network, or more recognized as internet. Internet is one of the biggest innovation in telecommunication field. The growth of technology to support the facilities so that internet could provide wider and faster services for its user never stops. The application could be the a configuration to network devices, one of those are switch. Unfortunately, today’s concept of conventional multi-vendor network devices has some flaws. In order to change a network device’ behavior, a programmer need to do a manual configuration for each device based on their vendors. It takes longer time, as the growth of network devices is getting faster and faster due to the increasing number of internet users. Therefore, Software Defined-Network (SDN) concept could be a solution for the complexity of conventional network.
For this final project, the writer is creating Jupyter Notebook about an SDN Apps with Ryu Controller related to Parallel Programming. Ryu Controller is a remote controller as a control plane from an OpenFlow Switch. In a data traffic, every packet needs to be handled by a matching handler. Parallel Programming concept is being applied for SDN Apps so that the handling packet process works parallelly and prevents the conflict that may appear in every single thread. |
