In national construction projects, 40% of building materials used are concrete. One of the challenges in national infrastructure development is the more efficient construction process of infrastructure projects. To face increasingly complex and structural design needs, innovation is needed in national concrete construction, one of which is by maximizing the strength performance of concrete to obtain concrete structures that are much smaller, thinner and lighter. This can be done by using high-performance concrete or what is known as High Performance Concrete (HPC). The use of HPC is expected to improve the performance of national infrastructure. HPC with high flowability and viscosity is known as Reactive Powder Concrete (RPC). RPC has brittle properties as well as high strength concrete. To reduce the brittle characteristics of RPC, steel fiber is needed in the RPC mixture. Steel fiber is expected to increase RPC ductility by achieving tensile strain hardening conditions due to the multiple crack-bridging process of steel fiber. This research will study the effect of using steel fiber on RPC, with the objective parameter is the mechanical characteristics of Steel Fiber Reactive Powder Concrete (SFRPC). SFRPC will be made and developed from locally available supporting materials. In material performance, the use of SFRPC on structural elements will make the structure have a high capacitiy of compression, flexure, and shear and ductility. The use of SFRPC can make the design of structural elements with high performance. text
