Summary: | River is one of the sources of marine debris, which is one of the main global problems. The city of Denpasar took the initiative to deal with the problem by installing trash racks in three rivers in the city. While reducing the problem, the garbage retained in the trash rack is immediately disposed of at the Suwung landfill so that further handling is needed to reduce the burden on the Suwung landfill. The waste to be processed has a composition of 34.42% plastic, 33.82% organic, 17.54% hazardous waste, 4.73% wood, 3.66% textile, 2.52% glass, 1.30% paper, 1, 18% rubber, 0.25% metal, and 0.59% residue. The waste collected has a relatively high water content value (75.26%) when compared to the literature (64.27%). Waste generation in the river is 1733 kg / day in 2019 with a density of 0.189 tons / m3. Through projections with a moderate scenario, the generation will be worth 1915.4 kg / day at the end of the planning year (2030). Waste management is carried out by first drying the waste and then sorting it. After sorting, according to the type, it will be transferred to recycling center, composted, processed thermally, stored in a hazardous waste temporary storage, or managed as residue. The alternative of sorting and thermal processing are selected using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method, which is manual sorting and pyrolysis. Whereas for the drying process will carried out using a fixed bed dryer and composting using the Takakura method. |
