To meet the needs of electrical energy the development of renewable energy resources is increasingly being increased, it also aims to reduce the effects of global warming (global warming). The Indonesian government is also pushing to increase the electrification ratio to 99% by 2019, one of the steps being the development of renewable energy generation systems especially for areas that are difficult to build electricity transmission infrastructure. In overcoming these problems, one of the technologies used is the use of off grid electric power systems using solar / photovoltaic panel modules. In this thesis, an off-grid hybrid generating system consisting of solar / photovoltaic panel modules, batteries and generators is proposed. In the hybrid generator system design process, economic and technical analysis is needed, so that the feasibility and reliability of the system can be known. The thesis will discuss the background of the problems and the needs of the system design. Next it is discussed about the design of hybrid generator systems by measuring the rating of each component in order to meet the needs of both communal and administrative electricity loads. Analysis of the design and design made is divided into two, namely economic analysis using HOMER Pro software and technical performance analysis using MATLAB / SIMULINK software as well as testing the ability of Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm. From the analysis process we will get the most reliable generating system. The design of this system can later be used as input for the direction of renewable energy development in Pirien Village, Asmat, Papua. text
