Semarang Container Port is going to have development process in order to match the ever-rising container traffic each year. This Final Year Assignment is discussing about Semarang Container Terminal Operational Design to ensure port activities running in an effective and efficient manner. This design of container operation is calculated based on port infrastructure deisgn by The Government. This Final Year Assignment is going to discuss berthing operation, yard operation, determining the amount of trucks required, and analysis of cost and tarif of container handling. Design of berthing opearion includes, determining the ship size combination at berth, determining type and dimension handling equipment, productivity analysis of equipment, and calculation of berth capacity. There are 10 handling equipment needed at berth. Berth capacity is designed to handle 1.029.250,96 TEUs/year. Design of yard operation includes determining the orientation of container stacking, determining type and dimension handling equipment, productivity analysis of equipment, and calculating of yard capacity. Container yard capacity is designed to handle 3.137.302 TEUs/year. Determining the requirement of truck includes type and number of truck. The terminal required 170 trucks. Analysis of capital cost and container handling tarif include analysis of capital cost required, total expenditure, and annual income during the payback period and determining container handling tarif. text
