Summary: | Generation of bill of material requires long time and prone to error if done
manually, thus there have been researches to develop the application which generate bill
of material automatically based on the structure of product design. But, generation of bill
of material only based on product design’s structure is not quite accurate since other than
materials used as components there is also materials that does not exist in structure such
as raw materials and consumables. Thus, there is need of model of product’s design that
contain information about materials needed during whole process of production and
methode to generate bill of material based on that model.
This research develop a model of product’s design which consist of model of
process, structure, and hierarchy. Process’s model contains the information about the
inputs of process such as raw materials and consumable materials. Then the method and
application to generate bill of material is developed. The method require the data of
materials to be converted and inserted to structure so the data of materials could be used
to generate bill of material.
The research has developed an application to generate bill of material based on
product’s model which contain information about all materials required for whole
production process. The app and model has been tested to generate bill of material based
on the test data and succeeded to generate bill of material as it should be. |
