Summary:Water is one of the human needs that must be fulfilled. South Tangerang City does not have water treatment supply system and still relies on services from water treatment system of Tangerang Regency by Tirta Kerta Raharja. Therefore, a drinking water treatment system is needed to serve the City of South Tangerang, especially the Ciputat District, Ciputat Timur, and Pamulang, which will become the service area of Kali Angke Water Treatment System in South Tangerang City. This project is a project based on cooperation between the government and the regional owned enterprises namely PT South Tangerang Investment Development (PT PITS).The raw water comes from Kali Angke. Processing capacity is needed at 470 liters/second. Based on the results of water quality analysis in the Water Quaity Laboratory ITB Environmental Engineering Department, there are 6 parameters that did not meet drinking water quality standards, Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan No. 492 tahun 2010 and Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 82 tahun 2001, they are BOD, COD, Iron, Total Coliform, color, and turbidity.The method of selecting alternative processing units using Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) with selected processing is a series of conventional treatment, consists of coagulation, flocculation, filtration, disinfection, reservoir, and sludge treatment. The selected filtration unit is a rapid sand filter. The type of disinfectant is free chlorine. The selected reservoir is ground reservoir. The selected sludge treatment is sludge drying bed.
