According to Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency, there is an increase in rainfall every year in several regions in Indonesia. This quite high rainfall causes puddles of water on palm plantation. These puddles disrupt the growth and production of oil palm plantations. To move puddles, axial pumps are used. Ship propellers are acted as pump impellers on this axial pump. The reason behind it is based on the price of a ship's propeller which is cheaper and easier to get on the market. The selection of the ship's propeller as an impeller in the pump causes a decrease in pump performance. The reason is that the ship's propeller was not designed for pumps. Through this final project, numerical simulations are performed using Computational Fluida Dynamic software on pumps to get their characteristic curves. The axial pump was modeled by varying the distance between the impeller and the eye of the pipeline using Autocad Inventor software. Simulation results indicated that the optimum performance of the pump occurs on the model A pump variant, with the highest efficiency points at 53.26% when the head is 0.5 meters and flow rate of 371.86 litre/second. The model A pump variant has a distance of 0 cm between the impeller and the eye of the pipeline. text
