Description
Summary:Hydroponics is an appropriate alternative solution to solve the problem of decreasing agricultural area. However, one problem in agriculture using hydroponic system is the variety of results obtained from different hydroponic locations. This study aims to determine the influence of physical environment factors in ITB Ganesha and ITB Jatinangor on the height of the seedling, number of leaves, leaf area, total wet and dry weight, root length, and leaf chlorophyll content. Green Pak coy is grown with two nutrients namely AB Mix 100% and AB Mix and POC mixture (50:50). The two nutrient treatments were planted using the DFT hydroponic system with the location treatment of ITB Jatinangor (J) and ITB Ganesha (G). Each treatment has 24 plants in each location. The results of this study indicate that the treatments at ITB Jatinangor treatment A and B produce an average height of 6.179 cm and 3.894 cm respectively; number of leaves 18.5 strands 14.96 strands; leaf area 92,387 cm2 and 6.55 cm2; total wet weight of 111,212 g and 1.75 g; total dry weight of 8.884 g and 0.23 g; root length of 45.1 cm and 39.134 cm; leaf chlorophyll content of 11,562 mg / L and 1,723 mg / L. Whereas, treatment at Ganesha treatment A and B each produced an average height of 4.196 cm and 4.033 cm, respectively; number of leaves 64,515 strands and 13,958 strands; leaf area 14,958 cm2 and 84,952 cm2; total wet weight of 7,667 g and 46,495 g; total dry weight of 3,455 g and 2,539 g; root length of 35,555 cm and 14,182 cm; leaf chlorophyll content of 12,011 mg / L and 10,027 mg / L. The location treatment at ITB Jatinangor was statistically significantly different compared to the location treatment at ITB Ganesha based on all the parameters of solution A and most of the parameters of solution B. That is caused by physical environment factors at ITB Jatinangor such as air temperature and higher light intensity and lower air humidity compared to with treatment at ITB Ganesha. From this study it can be concluded that environmental physics factors at ITB Ganesha have a significant influence on the growth of green Pak coy on both nutrients.
