INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/43084 Curtain-type breakwaters are starting to be used as an alternative to breakwaters. Research related to the characteristics of curtain breakwaters with the support of these piles needs to be studied further, the shape of the structure, porosity, effects of waves and other parameters need to be studied to optimize its use. In this study a study of curtain breakwaters with multi chamber skirt breakwater (MCSB) types was conducted. The study will be conducted on various dimensions of the structure and wave conditions with a two-dimensional physical model. The purpose of this research is to carry out a physical model test of the multi chamber skirt breakwater hydraulic behavior (MCSB). Research was conducted at the ITB Ocean Engineering Wave Laboratory on July 15, 2019 - August 16, 2019. This study used a specimen made of wood and then tested in a wave flume measuring 39.5 x 1.2 x 1.4 meters, the specimen had variations in structural dimensions, namely variations in draft, width chamber, and porosity, as well as for the waves it carried out, the wave variations used are the period, wave height and depth of the waters, the waves are run with a piston type wavemaker that is run through a computer using HR Merlin, the waves used are regular waves. The wave data is taken from the wave gauge stored in the computer using HR DAQ, there are wave dampers behind the wavemaker and at the end wave flume (artificial beach), while the meter is attached to the glass wave flume to measure visual data seen through the camera each channel wave gauge, visual data is used for calibration, the wave gauge used in this study are four (3 in front of the test object, 1 behind the test object), scaling in this study used the Froude method. This research uses a lot of methods of Goda Y. and Suzuki Y. in terms of calculation, processing, and placement of the wave gauge. Analysis of data using the Buckingham method ?. The conclusion of this research is that the smaller the wavelength, the bigger the draft, the greater the chamber width, and the smaller the porosity, the more effective the test object. text
