AB mix is a mixture of various macros and micronutrients that used for hydroponics. Hydroponic nutrient solutions can also be made from leachate as a result from fruit waste bioconversion of black soldier fly (BSF) larvae. To find out the effectiveness of hydroponic nutrients from ex BSF leachate, this research has been carried out on the development of butterhead lettuce using NFT system hydroponics. Butterhead is planted using six treatments: 100% AB mix, 100% leachate, 60% AB mix: 40% leachate, 50% AB mix: 50% leachate, 70% AB mix: 40% leachate, and 40% AB mix: 60 % leachate. We analysed the microorganism content of the hydroponic nutrient solution was carried out. The observations of the lettuce were made on the number of the leaves, fresh weight, dry weight, and chlorophyll, fibre, and vitamin C content. The results of microorganism content analysis showed that the dominant bacteria in leachate solution was Pseudomonas sp. and the dominant fungi is Aspergillus sp., while based on its function the most dominant was nitrogen-fixing bacteria. The reduced percentage of leachate in the hydroponic nutrient solution causes a decrease in the number of bacteria. The combination of 60% AB mix: 40% leachate nutrient solution has a better amount of nitrogen fixing bacteria and environmental conditions to support its activities. From this study it can be concluded that the combination of 60% AB mix and 40% leachate is the best combination for the growth of NFT hydroponic butterhead lettuce. Research results showed that 60% AB mix: 40% leachate solution produced 20 ± 4.70 leaves, fresh weight 46.033 ± 14.27 grams, dry weight 2.04 ± 0.39 grams, chlorophyll content 6.126 ± 0.047 mg / L, vitamin C content of 46.10 mg / 100 grams, and fiber content of 0.95%. text |
