With the demand for coal as one of source energy, Indonesia is targeting to increase coal production. Therefore, coal berth is needed for coal distribution. PT Indexim Coalindo, which is located at Kaliorang, Kalimantan Timur, has a plan to develop the berth facilities to increase coal distribution. In this final project, will be discussed about the design of the berth structure which includes loading platform, breasting dolphin, and mooring dolphin based on design criteria as structural design requirements also consider the existing condition at the location. The design scope consists of determining the dimensions of loading platform structure, breasting dolphin, and mooring dolphin, structural modelling, reinforcement design, calculation of soil capacity, and calculation of structural cost include concrete, steel, and pile. Structural modelling is using SAP2000 software to determine the structural reliability for the loads applied on the structure. The results are the UCR (Unity Check Ratio) value, displacement of piles and beams, internal forces, and base reactions. Checking the UCR value is done to get a reliable and optimal structure with a range of UCR value 0,7 to 1,0. Checking the displacement value is done to see the serviceability of the structure with the values below the permit limit The results of this final project are structure design of loading platform, breasting dolphin, and mooring dolphin, which include structural dimensions and structural element dimensions, reinforcement design based on internal forces in each element, depth of piling, and material costs including concrete, steel, and pile. text |
