Summary: | The main energy that humans still use today is the fossil energy, one of them is oil. But the oil reserves on land has become thin so humans need to explore and exploit those energy sources to the ocean. The oil reserves mostly resides in the deep water. One of the alternatives to do exploitation on oil in deep water is using Spar type floating structure.
This final project will design Spar structure with the main purpose on the dynamic responses from the dimensions of the designed Spar. Structure dimension, heave response, roll response and mooring system will be calculated with analytic calculation. The structure dimension and mooring system will be used as input for structure modelling. The dynamic responses and mooring tension from the modelling will be compared to the analytic calculation.
The result of this final project analysis are 35 m of hull diameter, 190 m of hull height, 175 m of draft, 250 mm of hull thickness, 122,5 of ballast height, taut leg mooring system, 6100 m of mooring length, 1 m of maximum heave response, 1 degree of maximum roll response, 34,7 of maximum horizontal offset and 3030 kN of maximum mooring tension.
