INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/43158 Chili (Capsicum sp.) is a commodity that has increasing demand. Intensive chemical cultivation can become more environmentally friendly if combined with organic fertilizer. Black Soldier Fly Larvae are known for decomposing organic waste into leachate. Research has been conducted to determined the effect of leachate to the growth of chili based on the analyzed abiotic factors in Urban Rooftop Farming system. Cultivated chilli sprayed with Leachate 1%, 2%, and 3% were compared to NASA and control (only water). Air temperature, relative humidity, precipitaion and light intensity data recorded by data logger (HOBO), soil temperature and pH measured every week. Chili growth parameters includes plant heights, number of branches, fruit weight, dimention, and vitamin C contents had been observed and analyzed. Research resulted the average of light intensity was 1992 lux, relative humidity 67.39%, air temperature 26.42 ºC and monthly precipitation 78.8 – 529.2 mm. Microclimate condition during the research was not optimal due to the high air temperature and low precipitation. Planting media affected by Leachate 1% had the most optimum average of pH level for 6.21 ± 0.2 and soil temperature 28.72 ± 1.4ºC. pH level and soil temperature affected the plant nutrient uptake. Chili plant growth with Lecheate 1% resulted plant height 23.41 ± 8.22 cm; number of branches 15.95 ± 5.21; fruit weight 1401.43 gram; fruit length 6.02 – 9.58 cm; fruit diameter 0,65 – 1,39 cm and vitamin C 48,73 – 62,62 mg/100 gram. The higher the concentration of lecheate, the lower the edafic value. From the fruit weight and vitamin C of chili, Lecheate 1% could be used as liquid organic fertilizer just like NASA®. text
