Summary:Batalion Artileri Medan 4/105 GS is a unit that helps to sterilize the area when it is difficult for the Maneuver Unit to penetrate the opponent's defences or be cornered by the opponent. As an auxiliary unit, Yonarmed 4 has control over battle vehicles (tanks). For this reason, the responsibility of the tank driver is to be able to place the tank in the right area without hurting anyone. The magnitude of that responsibility underlies research to evaluate mental workload for tank drivers. Evaluation of mental workload is done by using subjective measuring tools namely the National Aeronautics and Space Administration - Raw Task Load Index (NASA-RTLX) and Mental Effort Rating Scale (RSME) as well as objective measuring tools in the form of blink duration (BD) and blink rate (BR ). Evaluation is done by considering the condition of fasting and not fasting. The use of different methods is intended so that there are comparisons between subjective and objective methods. The results of the study using the NASA-RTLX subjective method show that the mental workload felt by the driver for both conditions is in the range of 65 which means high mental workload (overload). The results obtained when using the RSME method are in the range of 90-100 which shows that the effort spent is quite large. The results of studies that utilize BD and BR cannot indicate how much of the mental workload of the tank drivers.
