Kelud, Merapi and Sinabung are some of the mountains that have shown high volcanic activity in recent years. Kelud erupted explosively in February 2014, Merapi erupted in 2010 and 2018, and Sinabung which since 2010 until today continues to show high volcanic activity. In this study, the assessment of the thermal characteristics of the Kelud, Merapi, and Sinabung craters was carried out during the eruption. The surface temperature obtained from Thermal Infrared and Visible-Near Infrared ASTER image processing, then converted to kinetic temperature using a regression model from the field measurement data compared with image processing data from Papandayan crater. The results showed that there was a linear relationship between time of eruption and changes in thermal anomalies. Merapi and Sinabung show significant high thermal changes compared to normal conditions. However, for Kelud, it was not detected about the condition of linear relation between eruption time events and changes in thermal values due to the limited available image data. text |
