Summary: | I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport is an airport that has the potential to become an international cargo hub in Eastern Indonesia. Based on the projected demand for transshipment cargo, it is known that there is a relatively large market share of 169,835 tons in 2020 and will increase to 313,136 tons in 2024. The high projection of transshipment cargo demand is not followed by the availability of sufficient warehouse capacity. The current warehouse capacity can only hold around 20,000 tons of cargo per year. Therefore, a new transshipment cargo warehouse is needed at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport. The design of the cargo warehouse in question is the layout of the cargo warehouse layout. The process of designing a cargo warehouse layout is carried out using a systematic layout planning (SLP) methodology. There are several stages in the SLP methodology that require in-depth calculations, such as determining the area requirements for each department or facility. In order to determine the exact needs of the department area, specifically the storage department area, a mathematical model of warehouse layout design model is used. Based on the dimensions of the storage area generated by the mathematical model of the warehouse layout design model, the allocation of each storage location is determined using a class-based storage policy. There are ten departments in the transshipment cargo warehouse namely racking storage area, block stacking storage area, dangerous goods storage area, perishable goods storage area, cargo receiving area, cargo shipping area, x-ray machine area, weighing scale machine area, operational office area, and customs office area. The total area of the transshipment cargo warehouse required is 29,742.75 m2. The selected transshipment cargo warehouse layout has adjacency score performance criteria value of 0.84 and rel-dist score performance criterion value of 0.79. |
