Description
Summary:Nature Tourism Park (TWA) Telaga Warna is one of the nature tourism objects with the status of a conservation forest located in Cisarua District, Bogor Regency with a lake as its main attraction. This area was established since 1980 and has the potential to develop because it has beautiful panoramas, diverse vegetation, cool mountain weather, and open space that can be utilized. To achieve sustainable use of natural tourism without reducing its conservation function, efforts are needed so that all activities in it must be in accordance with the carrying capacity of the region. This can be achieved by identifying tourism potential and carrying capacity analysis to determine the number of visitors allowed to be in the area every day. The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility index for tourism development which is seen from aspects of physical potential, natural resources and management in the Telaga Warna TWA area, Cisarua, Bogor and determine the carrying capacity of the Telaga Warna TWA area by calculating physical carrying capacity, real carrying capacity, and effective carrying capacity of the region. This research was conducted in December 2018 to May 2019. The data used were primary data obtained through field observations, interviews and questionnaires, as well as secondary data obtained from government agencies and related institutions. Identification of potential uses the guidelines for the Analysis of Regional Operations of Objects and Attractions of Nature Tourism (ADO-ODTWA) of the Directorate General of Forest Protection and Nature Conservation in 2003 which includes the criteria of attractiveness, accessibility, area management, and supporting infrastructure. After scoring on the criteria above, the feasibility index of tourism development results obtained by 82.35%, which means that tourism is feasible to be developed. The effective carrying capacity of the TWA Telaga Warna area is 64 people / day
