INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/43294 Observation of sea level is an important part of marine surveys, oceanographic needs, and engineering of marine and coastal areas. The advanced of technology has led to the development of methods for measuring sea level. One of them is the measurement of sea level with GPS observations that utilize multipath waves or called the GNSS Tide method. In principle, GNSS Tide fully observes changes in sea level by determining changes in distance with multipath time-reflected variable received by GPS receivers from sea level as objects that reflect electromagnetic waves or signals from satellites in the process of positioning. Therefore, determining the position of GPS observation points in this case is a critical aspect. Data used in determining GPS observation position in order to measure sea level changes in configuration of geodetic coordinates from the planed position on Belitung island and then process the data using the Fresnel zone algorithm in software, so that the result of reflection-wave (multipath) is generated in every planed position. The other data used is location characteristic for every plan position that obtained by conducting survey of the field directly at 21 planed position that located on Belitung island. After that, an analysis is carried out to obtain the recommendation position as the best location for GPS tracking location in order to measuring the changes of sea level. Then obtained 4 recommendation location of the tidal station by using multipath GPS, those are located at Padang Kandis beach dock, Oliver beach dock, Tanjung Limau dock, and Pegantung Village dock.
