Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the use of ocular and ORS indicators in measuring the level of drowsiness of Bromo Anggrek train drivers in the Jakarta-Cirebon route. A total of 30 machinists participated in this study (the Jakarta-Cirebon route), with details of 15 machinists for morning and afternoon shifts. Ocular indicators used in this study are blink duration (BD) and blink frequency (BF), while the ORS approach used is behavioral observed rated sleepiness (B-ORS), driving observed rated sleepiness (D-ORS), in addition there are measurements sleepiness is subjectively using the Karolinska Sleepiness Scale (KSS). The results of this study are the machinist's sleepiness patterns in the morning shift tend to decrease at the end of the service and in the afternoon tend to increase until the end of the service, with the highest average of BD is 0.301 in the morning shift and 0.311 in the afternoon shift, the highest average of BF is 13.4 in the morning shift and 35.43 in the afternoon shift, the highest average of B-ORS is 0.8 in the morning shift and 1.33 in the shift afternoon, and the highest average of D-ORS is 1,133 in the morning shift and 1,333 in the afternoon shift. There is the effect of shift (time of day) and time on task to the level of driver sleepiness. Observed rated sleepiness (B-ORS) and driving observed rated sleepiness (D-ORS) are quite consistent with KSS. Besides that B-ORS and D-ORS correlate strongly with blink duration (BD). In general the level of sleepiness of Jakarta-Cirebon machinists is quite high during the day and ORS is sensitive enough to detect sleepiness. text
