To realize the role of Pelabuhan Bitung as an International Hub Port, this Final Project will discuss the Design of Container Terminal Operations at Pelabuhan Bitung Phase 1. The design of container terminal operations is based on the Port Master Plan that has been established by the government. The design of container terminal operations includes the design of the apron operations, the design of the container yard operations and the calculation of capital costs and container handling tariffs. The design of the dock operations includes the design of the dock area, the combination of berthing vessels, the determination of handling equipment and the calculation of the design capacity of container handling at the dock. The design of the container yard operations includes the design of the container yard area, the determination of horizontal transportation, the calculation of design capacity of container handling in the container yard and horizontal transportation operations. The calculation of container handling tariffs includes the calculation of equipment costs, calculation of capital costs, calculation of expenses and revenues per year also the determination of container handling tariffs. The calculation of container handling costs and tariffs is done with a total procurement scenario and with an initial investment as a loan with a payback period of 10 years.
