Description
Summary:Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion is utilize energy from temperature difference between surface seawater and deep seawater. The hot surface seawater use to evaporize the organic fluid. After that vapor goes through the turbin which coupled to generator. The vapor out from turbine goes to condenser to make it saturated liquid phase. Then the fluid pump back to the evaporator. The Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE) from OTEC is high from other power plant. This caused by the high cost of evaporator and condenser. This research use to get the minimum value of LCOE by optimizing parameter on heat exchanger. The result is ammonia get the lowest LCOE on Rp 3127/kWh followed by butana, isobutene, butene and isobutana. After that we design the real layout of OTEC which placed on the on shore in 8 x 6 x 14 dimension.
