By using the BIM method, all types of information related to assets can be embedded on one of the asset models, such as information on the type of asset, the dimensions of the asset, the date of manufacture of the asset, the price of making the asset, etc. Later, this information can be developed for periodic maintenance needs as well as estimating costs to repair the asset object. One example of the application of the BIM method is located at the Bendungan Manganti, Ciamis. Bendungan Manganti consists of several formed objects which have different dimensions and levels of detail. Terrestrial Laser Scanning (TLS) and Handheld Scanner are tools that can perform object modeling in three-dimensional (3D) with various accuracy. With the combination of differences in accuracy of point cloud data (Multi-Level of Detail), a 3D model with high density can be obtained according to the object being modeled without having to scan with the same accuracy for all objects. The output that obtained by Terrestrial Laser Scanning (TLS) and Handheld Scanner is a point cloud data with various levels of detail and will go through stages of data processing, as well as registration, filtering, georeferencing, and data visualization in 3D models. The quality of the resulting point cloud data can be assessed from the RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) results of registration conducted between datasets. text |
