Efforts made by Garut Regency PUPR are building 3 units of Sediment Trapped. However, it has not reached maximum results, so that scours still occur that have an impact due to river bank landslides and flooding due to sediment. Research on sediment transport on the Ciojar River by means of measurements of discharge, instantaneous flow velocity, water sampling and sedimentation at 5 location points. Which sample will be carried out laboratory tests to determine D (50%) as the approximate diameter of the granules. Whereas water samples to get elevated concentration (TSS). The results of basic sediment analysis using the Duboys method qb = 8.12 (ft3/s) /ft using bankfull discharge. Based on the existing sediment trapped reservoir, there are 3 units with 329.05 m3 dead storage. Then the sediment transport rate Qb = 116,000 m3/year. 350 units of sediment trapped must be made again. With the cost of one unit of sediment trapped reaching Rp. 196,000,000, -00. With an economic analysis of the existence of a sand mine (excavation C), an IRR of 10.95% was obtained. text
