Indonesia is an archipelago that has a total of around 17,000 islands, with 2/3 of its territory is the sea. Geographically, Indonesia is flanked by two continents, Asia and Australia; and two oceans namely the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean. This is what makes Indonesia an archipelagic country and has a tropical climate. Therefore, Indonesia is also a country with a high level of biodiversity. The experts agree that one of the centers of diversity of marine biota and the origin of marine biota in the world is around the Indonesian sea. Some taxonomists have discovered that Indonesia's seas have the highest diversity in the world. Unfortunately Indonesia is also the second largest contributor of plastic waste in the world after China ranked first. Plastic marine pollution can damage and cause the death of marine life. Marine biota often thinks that plastic and other debris in the sea are their favorite food and then suffocate when swallowing. Therefore, media is needed to inform the dangers of plastic waste for marine biota. The chosen media is the popular media so that it can be directly accepted by the public.
