Summary: | Inventory management is very important in a company because inventory can affect various aspects. However, at present, there are still many micro and small retail enterprises that do not pay attention to inventory management. Some enterprises that have carried out inventory management still do it manually without a system. Although there are many management systems that can help businessmen to do inventory management, micro and small enterprises prefer not to use the system because of a lack of technological knowledge. In this final project, an inventory management system is built for micro and small retail enterprises. The inventory management system is designed based on the needs of micro and small retail enterprises. A management system built in the form of web application that consists of inventory, sales, and purchasing module. There are features to calculate demand forecast, reorder point, safety stock, and economic order quantity (EOQ) to be taken into consideration in managing inventory. These values are obtained by applying statistical calculations to the historical data in the system. There are two types of testing, functional testing and usability testing. In functional testing, all test cases are successfully carried out. Usability testing is done in two iterations. In both tests, the participant successfully did all the tasks so the system could be said to be effective. Efficiency obtained in the second test increased by 90% compared to the first test. In addition, the value of user satisfaction in the second test is quite good, which is 73.33 out of 100. Based on the tests carried out, the inventory management system that was built was running quite well. Inventory can be influenced by various factors, but the system in this final project is still limited by several assumptions. The characteristics of micro and small retail enterprises used for analysis are obtained through literature studies and observations. |
