Summary: | Birds have an important ecological role in the ecosystem, one of which is a determinant bioindicator of environmental dynamics, the main priority for viewing bird habitat and biodiversity in riparian ecosystems. This study aims to determine the differences in bird species, and determine the level of vegetation use as bird habitat in the riparian ecosystem of the Winong River. The method used is the number of points with a total of 10 points of observation of 100m and an interval of 15 minutes in the morning and evening. Determine Shannon-Wiener (H ') diversity index, habitat use level (Ft), distribution of feed types, and collect key bird species and high conservation value based on P.57 / Menhut-II / 2008 Found 203 individual birds from 21 species and 15 families in the ripong ecosystem of the Winong River, with a moderate diversity index (H ') of 2.47. The food group distributed by insectivore at 71.4%, granivore and piscivore by 23.81%, carnivore by 19.05%, frugivore by 14.29% and nectarivore by 4.76%. The analysis showed that the species of birds protected by the government were Psaltria exilis and Ardea alba. The types identified as key species are Alcedo meninting and Todiramphus chloris which at the same time have high conservation value. The level of vegetation use by bird habitat is around 76.2%, the ratio of tree species to 2 seed producing types, 3 species of flowering nectar producing trees, 4 species of fruit producing trees, 6 types of trees as host for use, 3 types of trees that are places placement and 4 types of trees that become nesting sites. |
