Summary:Plastic injection is one of the mass productions processes that uses molds as product containers. Plastic injection molds are composed of several plates and other components. In manufacturing plastic injection molds generally have design parameters that must be met. One of the parameters is the position of the gate which can affect the mold design and the final product. In this project, several gate positions are iterate and warpage values are analyzed for each position using Solidworks Plastic software. The analysis is based on building stacking toy products. After the gate position is obtained, a plastic injection mold plate design process is carried out. The designed plate parts are the upper cavity plate, lower cavity plate, upper clamping plate, lower clamping plate, support plate, ejector plate, and ejector retainer plate. The final result of this project is the manufacture of pre-designed mold components are the upper cavity plate, lower cavity plate, upper clamping plate, lower clamping plate, support plate, ejector plate, and ejector retainer plate. The components that have been made are assembled into a mold type 2 plate of plastic injection.
