PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) manages 4 terminals and 27 ports spread across 7 provinces in Indonesia, namely East Java, Central Java, South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara. From some terminals that managed by PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero), the Jamrud Terminal is located in Surabaya City, which serves loading and unloading activities of dry bulk, non-BBM liquid bulk, general cargo, containers, animals and domectics and international passengers. The problem faced is the decreasing trend of production of dry bulk loading and unloading activities at the Jamrud Terminal. The percentage decrease in dry bulk production at Jamrud Terminal is 18% in 2017 and 31% in 2018 with an average decline of 24% in the last 2 years. The purpose of this study was to find the root of the problem of the decline in production of dry bulk loading and unloading activities at the Jamrud Terminal, mapping out the existing alternative solutions and how to make decisions to improve the loading and unloading performance at the Jamrud Terminal. To achieve these objectives, several alternative approaches were carried out including analysis of fish bone methods, PEST (Political, Economic, Social & Technology) analysis, resources, capabilities and core competency analysis, SWOT analysis and several approaches to finding alternatives the most priority must be implemented. From the results of the analysis found several things that became problem poins. In addition, several further analyzes were carried out to find solutions to the problem. After finding a number of alternative solutions offered, scoring of several alternative solutions is done to find the solution that is most urgent to do. The conclusion is finding the root of the problem and the best solution to be implemented to be able to improve the performance of the Jamrud Terminal PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero). text |
