| Summary: | Technology is progressing fast and it disrupts various aspects in the world. One of them is land administrations aspect. Encrypted and distributed ledger technology called blockchain is one of few technologies that contributes much in land administration nowadays. Blockchain is a complex database management system encrypted with cryptography so it has a high level of data security. Blockchain can be used to manage land ownership data, using its feature of decentralized database and enhancement of land transaction using smart contract. Blockchain is trusted to enrich land administration function to be more secure, transparent, and simple. This study’s objective is to analyze blockchain application to land administration in Indonesia using Indonesia’s readiness analysis, implementation analysis, and creating conceptual framework of its usage in Indonesia. Indonesia’s readiness is analyzed using prequisites of blockchain integration to land administration literatures. Blockchain implementation is analyzed through identifying Indonesia’s land administration actual condition. Conceptual framework is made from blockchain-based land administration in another country literature. The result is Indonesia is not ready to adopt blockchain technology for their land administration sector because some prequisites like a digital land database is not yet completed. Indonesia must ensure identification method to authorize asset ownership, legal framework for blockchain-based land transactions, and development of conceptual framework for another land right transfer beside property selling. |
