Currently, Indonesia has not had a standard to calculate pedestrian safety level. Therefore it is necessary to develop a model of intersection crossing safety level by correlating pedestrian perception with physical and traffic characteristics of intersection that affect the safety of crossings at intersections. This research aims to develop an intersection crossing safety model with traffic and physical intersection characteristic of Bandung. Model was developed using multiple linear regression. The regression method used is stepwise backward elimination. Dependent variable of the model is average value of safety rating given by respondents. While independent variables used are physical and traffic characteristics of intersection. The results showed that variables affecting safety level of intersection crossing in Bandung are approach width, traffic signal availability and daily traffic volume. The wider the line, crossing safety level will decrease because interaction between pedestrian and vehicle probability are getting higher. However, the presence of traffic signals can increase safety level of intersection crossing because there is separation in time between pedestrian movement and motorists. Conversely, enhancement of vehicles volume through a crosswalk will decrease intersection crossing safety level because the more vehicles will interact with pedestrian. The intersection crossing safety value in Bandung ranges from 2.4 – 3.8 which means classified as an unsafety category. text
